Yeshiva Budgets to Lose 300 Million Shekels. Gafni: I Will Meet with Finance Minister

The Finance Ministry announced that in the framework of the blanket cut in the 2009-2010 budget, 300 million shekels will be taken out of the budget allocated to yeshivot. That is the largest cut of all those to be made by the government.
The Chairman of the Knesset Finance Committee, Knesset Member Moshe Gafni, said that he will meet tomorrow morning with the Minister of Finance, Yuval Steinitz, and also plans to discuss the planned cut with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
