Breaking News: Avreichim in Beit Shemesh Aleph Tried to Prevent the Destruction of a Beit Knesset – Police Repsonded with Violence

Just after noon today, a bulldozer belonging to the Beit Shemesh municipality destroyed a pre-fabricated structure that served as a beit knesset, on land the city claimed belonged to Minhal Karka'ei Yisrael. Avreichim attempted to stop the destruction of the building, and police responded to the demonstrators with violence.
A spokesman for the municipality said that the gabbaim of the beit knesset were warned not that the building was not legal, and was slated for destruction. The gabbaim claim that they never received any warning of the impending destruction.
