After sudden and heavy rains fell across the State of Georgia, 17 counties have declared a state of emergency due to massive flooding. Large regions of the State east of Atlanta are under water, and flood warnings have been issued for several counties south of Macon, in central Georgia. Rivers and creeks rose and over flowed after some areas of the State received 22 inches of rain in less than a week. At least 6 people have died in the flooding. (CNN)
