Number of U.S. Soldiers in Afghanistan Will Not Increase
The President of the United States, Barak Obama, said to reporters today that the number of American soldiers stationed in Afghanistan will not rise in the near future, and that no decision has been made to send more soldiers to the region at a later date. A month ago, the commander of the U.S. armed forces in Afghanistan Army General Stanley McChrystal submitted a request for thousands of additional troops.
"There is no immediate decision pending," said Obama.
