Lebanon: Radioactive Material Disposed – Thousands Could Have Died

Ten days ago, radioactive material from Lebanon was disposed of. If the material had leaked, it could have killed 3,500 people.
The dangerous substance, including Colbalt 60, was removed through the joint efforts of Russia, Lebanona, and the International Atomic Energy Agency. The substance was buried in a safe location in Russia.
The source of the substance – an agricultural irradiator in use ten years ago.
