Train Service Between Lod and Be'er Sheva Disrupted for One Day
Train service between the Lod and Be'er Sheva stations is cancelled until tomorrow, in order to allow for track repairs near Kfar Menachem. Yesterday, three train cars jumped the track, and in the accident 3 passengers were moderately injured and 5 were lightly injured. A number of other passengers were treated for shock after the accident.
Due to the repair work today, there will be no train service at the stations between Lod and Be'er Sheva: Kiryat Gat, Lehavim-Rahat, North Be'er Sheva-University, Central Be'er Sheva, and Dimona. All lines connected Tel-Aviv to Be'er Sheva have also been cancelled for the day.
