The Palestinian Prime Minister, Salem Fayad, said that the Palestinians do not need permission from anyone to declare a Palestinian State. "We will continue to establish our institutions and infrastructure, in an effort to build our State," he said.
Fayad, who visited the Salafit area on Shabbat, was present for the dedication ceremonies of several projects, and emphasized that "the Israeli occupation" is preventing the economic development of the Palestinian people. Fayad added, "We, as a government, will support the Israeli settlements that protest the establishment of outposts near or on their land." His statements appeared on the Arabic news site, "Wafa".
