The United States does not promise to agree to the construction of hundreds on housing units before the period designated for an official building freeze begins.
A spokesman for the American Embassy in Israel said this afternoon that the decision to build goes against the spirit of the negotiations, and that it isn't certain the U.S. will permit such a course of action.
