Florida is Hurricane Free due to Kvitlach at the Kotel

R. Waxman 24/08/2009 09:00
Governor Charlie Crist of Florida has been sending kvitlach to the Kotel every year since he took office, in 2006. He claims that on his first trip to Israel in 2007, he inserted a note into the Western Wall, bearing the following prayer: "Dear God, please protect our Florida from storms and other difficulties. Charlie."  Once each year since, Crist has sent similar notes to the Kotel with friends, and claims that in the merit of his prayers, G-d hasn't sent a hurricane to Florida in three years. (AP)
