Swedish Newspaper Publishes Anti-Semitic Story

A headline in Sweden's most widely distributed daily newspaper last week read: "They plunder the organs of our sons". The two page spread accused the Israeli Army of stealing organs from arrested Palestinians, before returning the dead bodies to their families for burial. The spokesman for the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Yigal Palmor, expressed anger over the story, saying, "In a democratic country, there should be no place for dark blood libels out of the Middle Ages of this type. This is an article that shames Swedish democracy and the entire Swedish press."  (CNN)
