3 Tropical Storms Headed Towards Florida
Tropical Storm Claudette has hit the Florida Panhandle, and is expected to keep moving north into southern Alabama. Tropical Depression Ana, still blowing across the Atlantic Ocean, is expected to reach the Dominican Republic later today. Last in the line of rain-bearing storms is Tropical Storm Bill, which may develop into a hurricane before making landfall in the Lesser Antilles islands. All three storms will bring an excess of rain to the area, and possible flooding.
Tropical storm watches were in effect for Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands, Montserrat, Antigua, Barbuda, St. Kitts, Nevis, Anguilla, St. Maarten, Saba, St. Eustatius, Guadeloupe, St. Martin, St. Barthelemey and part of the Dominican Republic. (CNN)
