R. Waxman 14/08/2009 09:12
Mordechai Yosef Leiner celebrated his Bar Mitzvah on Wednesday night in Boro Park, and at the same time was named as the successor of his father, Rabbi Yaakov Leiner, z"l, as the Radzhiner Grand Rabbi.
Rabbi Yaakov Leiner passed away suddenly at age 47 three months ago, leaving a wife and 11 children, and a large Chassidic following. Young Mordechai is the seventh consecutive generation of Leiner Grand Rabbis, and is the youngest Rebbe installed in the United States in the last 50 years. (Arutz 7)
