California: 8 Innocent Victims in Police Chase

Saturday afternoon, a police cruiser in Dinuba, California engaged in speeding pursuit of a Dodge Neon, after the driver of the vehicle committed a traffic violation. In the course of the chase, the Neon crashed into a GMC Sierra pickup truck, and four children were thrown from the truck. All of the children – ages 1, 3, 4, and 7 – died at the scene. A fifth child, age 8, later died after being airlifted to the hospital in critical condition. Two adults in the truck were hospitalized for injuries sustained in the crash, and three adults traveling in the Neon were killed.
