Increasing Muslim Presence in Europe
According to a report published today by the Telegraph, by the year 2050, one fifth of the European Union will be populated by people of the Muslim faith. At the present, only 5% of the EU population is Muslim, but low European birthrates and increasing numbers of Muslim immigrants to the EU will account for the rising numbers of Muslims. The greatest increases are likely to occur in Holland, the United Kingdom, and Spain.
