R. Waxman 09/08/2009 07:56
The AP reports that a French academic and several French and British embassy employees took the stand on Saturday during the Iranian protest trial. They have all been accused of engaging in disruptive actions with the intention of overthrowing the Iranian government. Officials of the French and British Foreign Ministries call the trail a sham, the confessions coerced, and demand that all charges against their employees be immediately dropped. (AP)
