United States: Remains of Missing Soldier from First Iraq War Discovered

The United States Army reported today that the remains of the first American soldier killed during the Persian Gulf War eighteen years ago, has been found. Navy Captain Michael Speicher died when a hornet he was flying in was shot down on January 17, 1991, the first night of the war. The soldier's remains are being returned to the United States for burial.
