28/07/2009 13:30
Employess of Bituach Leumi, Israel's government welfare institution, are striking for the third day in a row, in protest of insufficient manpower, and the government's failure to provide funds for 450 new positions.
Workers will not receive the public, and will not answer telephones. However, monthly stipends will be paid on time. Bituach Leumi representatives hope to meet with representatives of the Finance Ministry some time this evening, in an effort to find a solution and end the strike.
