In I got It!
A Stone of the Western Wall – the Largest in the World
They don't make stones today the size they used to!
The stone weighs 570 tons!
Its length is 13.6 meters, its width - 4.6 meters and its height - 3.3 meters. Its volume, at 206.448 cubic meters, is the largest in the world. These measurements were calculated based on the fact that the specific weight of a stone's material is over 27 grams to a cubic centimeter.
For comparison, the largest construction stone used today is 50 x 30 x 30 cm.
The stone was discovered during excavations that were conducted following the Six Day War in 1967, when the Western Wall was returned to the Jews.
The stone is estimated to be 2900 years old, dating back to the days of the First Temple, built by King Solomon. The Western Wall is comprised by other stones that are also huge; their weight ranges between eight and ten tons and the smallest stone of the Western Wall weighs 'only' one and a half ton…
